AAA's 3-GAME BOXING DAY BOWL BLOWOUT PASS (December 26th!)
(NCAAF) Illinois vs. Louisiana Tech,
Point Spread: -6.00 | -107.00 Louisiana Tech (Home)
Result: Win
This is an 8* BLOWOUT on Louisiana Tech.

Louisiana Tech is the favorite in this matchup for a reason and I think its balance on both sides of the ball will prove to be too much for Illinois. The Bulldogs forced more turnovers than any other team in the country. Illinois is lucky to even be here, it was just 1-5 in the Big Ten and 4-6 overall in the middle of November, before inexplicably beating Penn State 16-14 on November 22nd and then hammering Northwestern 47-33 a week later, for all intents and purposes, saving Tim Beckman's head coaching job in the process. Louisiana Tech was picked to finish fourth in the Conference USA's West division in 2014, but the Bulldogs would instead win it by destroying Rice 76-31 on November 29th and they'll be particularly hungry here to return to its winning ways after then dropping the conference championship game after leading the entire way but allowing Marshall a late TD in the tough 26-23 setback. I simply can't seen the Illini porous defensive line slowing down Bulldogs RB Kenneth Dixon, whose 26 TD's are the third-most in the nation. Note that Illinois gives up an average of 249.6 YPG on the ground which is sixth-worst in the country. In fact, the Illini would go on to finish last in the Big Ten in scoring defense (33.9 points) and total defense (464.3 ypg). Illinois also has the worst average point differential (minus-9.0) of any school that's playing in a bowl this year, which has to be music to the Bulldogs, a team ranked 12th in the FBS with 37.5 points per game and which takes the ball away better than anyone. In my opinion, this line should be in the double digits, fantastic value on LOUISIANA TECH in The Heart Of Dallas Bowl.
