AAA's 10* O/U EAST-COAST EXPRESS (60-40 +$4,996 Y-T-D NHL!)
(NHL) Pittsburgh vs. New Jersey,
Total: 5.00 | 108.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* O/U EAST-COAST EXPRESS on the OVER between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the New Jersey Devils.

Both teams come in on losing streaks and as such, I am fully expecting each to open things up on the ice as each pushes for the victory; suffice it to say, when the smoke clears at the end of this one, look for that red light to have turned on at least six times. The Pens are atop the East with 49 points but have lost three straight and are coming off a listless 3-0 setback to visiting Washington on Saturday. Keep your eyes on captain Sidney Crosby, he should be especially motivated after notching just two points in his last five games: "You've got to trust that the puck will go in the net, so I don't think that really solves anything getting frustrated," Crosby said. "It probably makes things worse, so you just got to make sure you go out there and compete and give yourself a chance. You've just got to make sure you keep fighting and go to the right spot. You can't allow bad habits to creep in to change much. Chances are there so eventually they'll go in." Crosby and company will have to be sharp today as well as Pens' goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury is 1-8-1 with a 3.28 GAA in his last ten games there. New Jersey can obviously empathize with Pittsburgh, it's dropped eight of nine, a stretch of futility which cost coach Peter DeBoer his job. But I think the home side comes to play today finally, note that the Devils have in fact seen the total eclipse the posted number in seven of their last 12 after a loss by two goals or more. And note that Pittsburgh has seen the total sail above the posted number in three of its four road games this year when the total in the contest is set at 5. After reviewing all of the above factors, all signs do indeed point to the OVER as the savvy move in this one.
