AAA's 10* O/U WEST-COAST "ASSASSIN!" (+$30,220 NHL s/ 2013!)
(NHL) San Jose vs. St. Louis,
Total: 5.50 | 105.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 5.50 | 105.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* O/U WEST-COAST ASSASSIN on the UNDER between the San Jose Sharks and the St. Louis Blues.
These two teams have been playing to some pretty high-scoring affairs of late, but for a number of different situational and strong O/U trend based reasons, I am expecting this total to sneak below the posted number once the final horn blares. This is the opener of a seven game home stand for St. Louis. The Blue are most recently coming off a 6-0 win at Arizona on Tuesday. The Sharks will surely be hungry here after losing 3-2 to St. Louis on December 20th. San Jose also comes in with plenty of momentum after beating Minnesota 4-3 in OT on Tuesday. But as mentioned off the top, this selection is primarily based on strong O/U trends, note that San Jose has seen the total go UNDER the number in seven of nine in revenging a home loss vs. an opponent and in seven of nine after scoring four goals or more in its previous contest. And note that St. Louis has seen the total dip below the posted number in seven of 12 this year after scoring four goals or more in its previous contest. In my opinion, the writing is on the wall and a tough defensive battle is in the cards, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this one.
