1* Free Play Leafs.
BIG PLAYERS ALERT: *WARNING* AAA Sports is stepping out with FIVE 10* NBA picks on Friday night; you can purchase any of these INCREDIBLE pacakges individually, or get ALL FIVE in his ALL INCLUSIVE Pro Hoops report (remember, AAA is up HUGE units in the NBA this year and over +$50,000 s/ 2013!); also 10* NCAAB "GAME OF YEAR!"
I think the home side is worth the price of admission in this spot. Toronto will certainly be the "hungrier" team here as it looks to avoid a season-high fourth straight setback. Most recently the Leafs are coming off a 6-2 loss to Washington in the first game since the club fired coach Randy Carlyle and replaced him with Peter Horachek; note though, there's some room to read between the lines in that setback as Toronto did in fact hold a 33-26 shot advantage and did not allow the Capitals to score on the power play. Columbus has turned things around after a dreadful start by going 12-2-1 overall since the start of December, most recently coming off a 4-2 at Dallas on Tuesday. Note though that the Blue Jackets are 5-10 (-4 units) when playing with two days of rest this year and 5-9 (-2.8 units) after a non-conference game. And note that Toronto has actually excelled in this spot for bettors this season, 2-0 (+2.2 units) after three or more consecutive losses and 8-7 (+1.1 units) after allowing four goals or more in its previous contest. As I like to say: "Desperation breeds motivation." A pretty good price on the LEAFS in this matchup in my opinion.
