AAA's 10* O/U WEST-COAST EXPRESS (+$50,000 NBA RUN s/ 2013!)
(NBA) Utah vs. Oklahoma City,
Total: 198.50 | -110.00 Under
Result: Loss
Total: 198.50 | -110.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* O/U WEST-COAST EXPRESS on the OVER between the Utah Jazz and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
For a number of different reasons (mainly strong O/U trend based ones), I expect this total to eclipse the posted number as the game comes down the stretch. Both teams come in highly motivated; the normally high-scoring Thunder are in the midst of a poor offensive stretch which has resulted in back-to-back defeats including Monday's 117-91 loss at Golden State and Wednesday's 104-83 setback at Sacramento on Wednesday (I had the UNDER in the first game and the Kings in the second game). There's no question that star Kevin Durant and company will be eager to get back to their winning ways. Utah on the other hand is seeking its first three-game road win streak since 2013, most recently coming off a 97-77 beatdown of the Bulls on Wednesday. These teams have split two games this year, and both went UNDER the number, which I feel only lends strength to this selection. But as mentioned off the top, this is pick is mainly based on strong O/U trends, note that Utah has seen the total go OVER the number in five of nine this year off an upset win as an underdog, while OKC has seen the total sail above the posted number in three of five this year off an upset loss as a favorite. In my opinion, the situation, the numbers and the trends do all indeed point to the OVER as the sharp move here.
