This is an 8* PITCHING MISMATCH on the Atlanta Braves.
The Padres send Andrew Cashner to the mound, he's coming off another dud, giving up seven earned runs over just 5 2/3's innings before getting the hook in a loss to the Reds on Saturday. The veteran is now 2-8 with a pedestrian 4.05 ERA on the year. Note that Cashner has struggled in this spot, he's just 2-3 with a 4.43 ERA on the road this season and only 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA in all "day" games. His counterpart Julio Teheran 4-2 (4.87 ERA) is starting to get untracked after a slow start, most recently he'd give up four earned runs over 7 1/3's innings in his team's eventual 5-4 win over the Pirates on Saturday. And a date at home is just what the doctor ordered for Teheran who is a perfect 3-0 with a highly respectable 2.53 ERA in Atlanta this year (also note that the Braves' ace is 2-1 in all "day" games thus far). This is one of the biggest pitching mismatches on the board in my opinion, making this a price that I have no problem at all in laying. Play on the BRAVES.
