The visitors hand the ball to Clayton Kershaw who is coming off a pedestrian effort, giving up four runs in a 5-3 loss to the Rangers on Wednesday, ultimately striking out ten, which is the sixth time this season that he's done that. Note that Kershaw had given up just three earned runs over his previous three games before that sub-par outing though and he has to be feeling pretty confident in bouncing back here as he's 5-3 with a highly respectable 2.68 ERA in all "night" games this season. The home side counters with Tsuyoshi Wada who went seven shutout innings in Wednesday's 17-0 destruction of the Indians, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out six. Wada will now look to string together another victory and improve upon his 3.21 ERA home record. Wada was exuding confidence in that outing and I think that gets carried over here, while Kershaw will certainly be motivated to bounce back from his last effort. I feel that the writing is on the wall and a classic duel is in the cards, consider a second look at the UNDER in this one.
