(NCAAF) Western Kentucky vs. Rice,
Total: 72.00 | -105.00 Over
Result: Win
Total: 72.00 | -105.00 Over
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the UNDER between Western Kentucky and Rice.
This can still be a high-scoring shootout and fall below this sky-high number and that's exactly what we're expecting. Rice sits atop the Western division, while WKU has the top spot in the East. Rice beat North Texas two weeks ago to go 1-0 in conference play, but then got smoked by Baylor last Saturday, able to hang just 17 points on the board in that blowout. Overall, the offensive numbers for the Owls are pretty much dead even; they are averaging 225.2 passing yards per game (74th in the nation) and 228.0 rushing yards per game (oddly enough, good for 27th in the country), and on the ground, the work is spread around a good bit. Rice is balanced no doubt, but we're expecting the team to focus on the run today as to limit the time that WKU's potent attack is on the field, note that the Owls boast four players as 100+ yard rushers thus far. WKU is led by one of the best QB's in the nation in Doughty, the team has posted 146 points through four games; note that only 18 of those points have come in the third quarter. The conferences top two teams have a lot to play for today and we expect this determination to finally translate into some defensive production for each side; note that WKU has seen the total go UNDER the number in four of its last six as a road favorite, while Rice has seen the total dip below the posted number in seven of its last ten home games and in four of its last five vs. teams with winning records. This number is indeed a little high, play on the UNDER.
