Game Of The Month (NCAAF): AAA's 10* BIG-12 TOTAL OF THE MONTH!
(NCAAF) Baylor vs. Texas Tech,
Total: 89.00 | -106.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 89.00 | -106.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* BIG-12 TOTAL OF THE MONTH on the UNDER between Texas Tech and Baylor.
Here we go with the highest total on the entire board, when the smoke clears at the end of this one, we expect it to sneak below this sky-high number. Baylor is 3-0, while Texas Tech is 3-1. The last time these teams met it was a classic, the Bears would hold on for the 48-46 victory on November 29th, 2014. We feel that this actually sets up as a bit of a letdown spot for both sides; the Red Raiders are fresh off a near-upset of No. 4 TCU and now face a Baylor team that has won four straight in this series. The Bears are the nations best offensive team, meaning that TTU will have been game-planning on ways to slow down this dynamic unit. If Texas Tech has any shot whatsoever in pulling off an upset today, not only will it have to step up defensively, but it will also have to play a sound offensive game, meaning that QB Patrick Mahomes will be leaning heavily on the run unit, RB DeAndre Washington has posted at least 130 yards in three of his past five games. Baylor's defense looked vastly improved in last week's destruction of Rice, holding the Owls to just 17 points, allowing only 3.1 YPC down the stretch as the secondary has shown major strides since the start of the season. Note that Texas Tech has seen the total go UNDER the number in seven of its last 11 off a loss vs. a conference rival, while Baylor has seen the total stay below the posted number in six of its last 11 vs. teams with winning records and in four of its last seven as a favorite in the 10.5 to 21 points range. This can still be a high-scoring game and fall UNDER the number and that's exactly what we expect.
