AAA's 10* EAST-COAST EXPRESS (+$26K NHL RUN CONT!)
(NHL) Philadelphia vs. Boston,
Total: 5.00 | -138.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is a 10* EAST-COAST EXPRESS on the UNDER between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Boston Bruins.

We are primarily a situationally based handicapping company and this one sets up perfectly for us: The 2-3 Bruins have now won two straight after dropping their first three, however they've seen the total eclipse the posted number in all five. While the Law of Averages is flawed in many ways, we've always believed that lop-sided numbers have a way of naturally "correcting" themselves, over the short, the mid and the long term. Also note, the Bruins dropped all three games in front of the home town crowd and the team's biggest knock was its lacklustre effort on the defensive end over that span; clearly the team made some major adjustments on the road, we look for that momentum to get carried over now that they return to Boston for the first time since. Philadelphia has played to three straight UNDERS, however it's coming off a 2-1 loss just last night, despite the season just getting going, we envision the Flyers coming out with some "heavy legs" to start this one, a fact which invariably leads a to more methodically paced defensive affair. And note, Bruins' goaltender Tuukka Rask is 8-1-0 with a 1.43 GAA in his last nine vs. the Flyers. Not to be outdone though, Philadelphia has two competent netminders to lean on this season, Steve Mason made 30 saves in yesterday's loss to Dallas, while backup Michael Neuvirth posted shutout victories in his first two starts. Also note that Philadelphia has seen the total go UNDER the posted number in ten of its last 18 after playing three consecutive home games, while Boston has seen the total dip below the posted number in eight of its last 14 when playing with three or more days rest. All signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
