This is a 10* GAME OF THE WEEK on the UNDER between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs.
San Antonio put the foot on the gas from the opening tip until the final horn in Game 1 and destroyed Oklahoma City 124-92. Clearly the Thunder will be out to atone for their shoddy defensive play. I'm expecting the visitors to play much more aggressively tonight. The Thunder have no choice, they're going to have to mix it up and assert themselves if they have any shot at stealing game. Of course this plays directly into the hands of the Spurs, who would love nothing more than to slow the second game down and to work the ball into the paint, where they enjoy a signifcant advantage. San Antonio big man LaMarcus Aldridge had 38 points in under 30 minutes in Game 1. The Spurs were on fire from the floor and while we do think they'll likely win Game 2 and this series, there's no way we're expecting them to shoot at such a high percentage tonight. And there's no way that Gregg Popovich will believe his team will either, we think we'll see a shift in strategy tonight as San Antonio concentrates on dominating defensively. Note that Oklahoma City has seen the total go UNDER the number in seven of 12 this year after playing to three or more consecutive OVERs, while San Antonio has seen the total go UNDER in 11 of its last 18 when leading in a playoff series. All signs point to more of a "chess match," play on the UNDER.
