AAA's Afternoon TOTAL "ASSASSIN!" (+$19,000 MLB Y-T-D!)
(MLB) Minnesota vs. Toronto,
Total: 9.50 | -125.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* TOTAL ASSASSIN on the UNDER between the Minnesota Twins and the Toronto Blue Jays.

Setting the scene: Toronto has seen the total go OVER the number in three of its last four (scored nine runs in the other game), including playing to two very high-scoring affairs against the Twins, winning 15-8 on Friday and then rallying for an 8-7 victory on Saturday. Minnesota has seen the total go OVER the number in five straight. We're expecting these high-scoring trends to end today finally.

Kyle Gibson: He's 5-8 with a 5.09 ERA. After throwing a complete game victory in his previous start, Gibson predictably came back down to earth in his last outing, giving up five runs over five innings vs. the surging Tigers on Tuesday. Gibson has admittedly struggled this year, but he's been decent in all day games, posting a 3.99 ERA so far.

RA Dickey: He's 9-13 with a 4.43 ERA. Dickey comes in off a strong outing vs. the Angels on Tuesday, allowing two runs off six hits over seven innings. Through four starts in August, the knuckleballer owns a very respectable 3.13 ERA with 16 K's over 23 innings of work.

The bottom line: Interestingly, the Blue Jays have seen the total go UNDER the number in 13 of 19 games that have fallen on the final day of the week. Regardless, we think this is a great situational play as we expect these veterans to battle deep and ultimately look for this total to sneak below the posted number. Play on the UNDER.
