Sometimes these stats can be overrated and other times they help foreshadow the outcome of a contest.
This particular play is based primarily on strong/relevant ATS statistics:
As note that UNLV is just 5-7 ATS in its last 12 after allowing 80 points or more and just 10-13 ATS in its last 23 road games, while ASU is 8-5 ATS in its last 13 games played in the month of December and interestingly, 2-0 ATS against the Mountain West the last two seasons.
The bottom line: We expect the WILDCATS to come out extremely focused after some recent shoddy play and to find a way to get the job done at the end of the night.
