AAA's FIRST OF THE MONTH PITCHERS DUEL *SPECIAL*!
(MLB) Milwaukee vs. St. Louis,
Total: 7.00 | 105.00 Over
Result: Loss
Total: 7.00 | 105.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* PITCHERS DUEL on the UNDER between the Milwaukee Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals.
A couple of red-hot hurlers face off in the opener of this series and when the smoke does finally clear at the end of this one, I expect the total to sneak below the posted number. The home side sends ace Adam Wainwright (13-5, 1.92 ERA) to the hill; Wainwright is coming off a third scoreless outing in his last five starts after beating the Cubbies 1-0 on Sunday, scattering five hits over seven frames. Note that in his only start vs. the Brewers this year, he'd give up just two runs over seven innings of work. The visitors counter with Wily Peralta (12-6, 3.56 ERA) who is 3-0 with a tiny 1.37 ERA over his last three starts, most recently giving up two runs over 5 2/3's innings in a 5-2 win over the Mets on Saturday. Note that Peralta has enjoyed plenty of success against the Cardinals by posting a 1.96 ERA in his last three vs. them. Note that Milwaukee has seen the total go UNDER the number in eight of its last 14 vs. teams with winning records, while St. Louis has seen it dip below the posted number in 44 of 75 vs. right-handed starters. All signs point to these two hurlers battling into the latter frames and for this total staying UNDER the number.
