Note though that the right-hander is just 5-6 with a 3.82 ERA in 12 games started versus division rival Philadelphia. And note that five of the last six combined starts by these two starters have respectively seen the game total soar above the posted number. Yesterday we saw a pitching duel between Doug Fister and Roberto Hernandez in a 2-1 Phillies win, but I think the writing is on the wall and that all signs point to a higher-scoring slug-fest. The Nationals are the big favorites here but the edge won't be decided with the starting pitching; consider the OVER.
