AAA's 10* *Cardinals/Dodgers* GAME 1 NLDS TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER (Wainwright/Kershaw!)
(MLB) St. Louis vs. LA Dodgers,
Total: 5.50 | 100.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 5.50 | 100.00 Under
Result: Win
This is a 10* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the OVER between the St. Louis Cardinals and the LA Dodgers.
We have a couple of the league's best starters going head to head in the opener of this five game series, but despite that, I look for this total to eclipse the number as the game comes down the stretch. This is a rematch of the 2013 NLCS in which the Cardinals won. Starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw had an uncharacteristically poor performance in Game 6 as the southpaw was shelled for seven earned runs in four innings. The Dodgers got a bit of redemption in the regular season by going 4-3 in the series; note that four of the seven games were decided by one run. As good as these starters are, it's easy to forget about the talent up and down each team's lineup, LA would finish sixth in runs this year with 718, the Cards had a drop off finishing 24th at 619. The Dodgers finished with a .265 batting average with a .406 slugging percentage, while St. Louis finished .253 batting average and a .369 slugging percentage. This can still be a "duel" and go OVER this tiny number and that's exactly what I'm expecting.
