I like the California Golden Bears to win and cover the spread as they visit the Oregon State Beavers Saturday night. Oregon State has lost 12 straight games in Pac-12 play and allowed 555 total yards in a 47-6 loss at Colorado last week. It has been outgained by more than 550 yards in its last two games combined. California meanwhile handed the Utes their first defeat with a 28-23 victory last week. Quarterback Davis Webb was named Pac-12 offensive player of the week after throwing for 306 yards and four touchdowns in that contest, his fifth 4+ TD game and he has 22 on the season. The Beavers have multiple injury concerns on defense and Cal won last season's meeting 54-24 in Berkeley as a 21-point favorite. I think the Golden Bears will cover a smaller spread at Oregon this time around.
