NLDS Game 5 Dodgers/Nats *BOOKIE BUSTER*
Play: Washington Nationals
Rating: 8*
I like the Washington Nationals to get the job done here in the decisive Game 5 of the National League Division Series against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers.
Max Scherzer was roughed up for four runs and five hits in six innings while losing against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw in the series opener. We can however note that the Nats are 5-1 in Scherzer's last six home starts despite that defeat while the Dodgers are 2-8 in their last 10 playoff road games. Tonight Scherzer won't be tossing opposite Kershaw but Rich Hill. They've lost each of his last four starts, and the left-hander lasted only 4 1/3 innings while losing Game 2, giving up four runs on six hits. Nats are 4-1 in their last five home games vs. a left-handed starter.
The Dodgers managed to force this game with a 6-5 victory on Tuesday. Nats are a perfect 6-0 in their last six games following a loss and I think they'll bounce back with a win to advance to the NLCS.
