The Washington Capitals will pay a visit to the Florida Panthers on Thursday night. They're coming off a 3-0 triumph against Colorado on Tuesday, and Braden Holtby, should be back in net after backup Philipp Grubauer blanked the Avs. Washington dominated the game completely and won the shots 40-18, the second time in three games they've registered 40+ shots. The Caps scored their first power play goals on the season as well as they went 2-for-5 with a man advantage.
The Panthers have picked up points in each of their first three games and were perfect before losing 4-3 in a shootout at Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Home wins against New Jersey and Detroit are not all that impressive though, and the Caps are 12-4 in the past six head-to-head meetings.
I hold Washington as the much better team, and I'm well happy to take the Caps at this price.
