Play: New York Islanders
Rating: 10*
The Tampa Bay Lightning have been on the highway since October 22 and wrap up a six-game road trip when stopping by Barclays Center to take on the Islanders Tuesday night. Tampa Bay has lost each if its last three games, the most recent a 6-1 setback at the Rangers, and this looks like another tough matchup against the other New York team. It's also worth noting that this is the Lightning's third game in four days (and fourth in the last six days), so indeed a very tough scheduling spot for the visitors. Lightning are 2-5 in their last seven in the fourth game of a 4-in-6 situation.
The Islanders have won eight of their last nine home games in this series and they're coming off a dominant 5-1 win against Toronto. They've now won three of their last five games after a 1-3 start to their year and they've averaged a healthy 3.50 goals per game in front of the home town crowd where they've picked up each of their four wins this season. The Lightning are struggling for offense with just one goal scored in each of their last three games, and I think they'll find it hard to solve Jaroslav Halak who is expected to be back in the Islanders net tonight after sitting out their last contest.
