This looks like a good spot to back the New Jersey Devils as they host the Carolina Hurricanes Tuesday night. New Jersey picked up a 4-1 victory over its Metropolitan Division rival at Carolina on Sunday, and the team is 19-7 in its last 26 in the second game of a home-and-home situation. The Hurricanes are 2-7 in their last nine road games while the Devils are 4-0-1 in their five home games on the season. The Hurricanes are having immense trouble to stop opponents from scoring (allowing 3.45 per game) while the Devils have held opponents to 2.27 goals per game. The Canes struggled to solve the Devils on home ice with New Jersey's backup goaltender in net, and I don't see them doing any better here in Prudential Center with Cory Schneider expected to be back between the pipes for the Devils.
