The Oklahoma City Thunder will close out a five-game homestand Sunday night. The Thunder will be looking to get back in the win column after back-to-back setbacks, and I think they'll take this opportunity put a beating on the lowly Orlando Magic before heading to Detroit tomorrow. The Magic are also playing their first game of a back-to-back set as they will take on the Pacers at Indiana on Monday.
Orlando has lost each of its last three games and failed to cover the spread in each of its last four. The Magic's 92.3 points per game ranks dead last in the NBA, and it's not even close. OKC ranks near the middle of the pack with a 103.2 scoring average as Russell Westbrook has carried the team averaging 30.9 points, 9.4 assists and 8.9 rebounds.
The Magic are coming off an 87-74 home loss to Utah on Friday. They're 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games following a double-digit loss at home and 1-4-1 ATS in their last six games after scoring less than 75 points in their previous game. The Thunder kept the Clippers close in a 111-108 defeat on the same day and are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a straight up loss.
The Thunder have not played great D lately, but I think they're excused considering they've faced the Clippers and the Raptors. Orlando does not pose even nearly the same offensive threat, and I don't see the Magic being able to keep this a close game.
