The Winnipeg Jets opened a three game road trip with a 4-1 loss at Arizona two days ago. I don't think we can expect a better performance tonight, as they're coming to L.A. playing on one day of rest. The Jets have lost five of their last six such situations, a trend that is likely to continue here tonight in LA.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Penalties - Only the Penguins are offering their opponents more chances on the power play than the Jets and their 14 penalty minutes per game. They've had to play shorthanded 23 times over their last four games, yielding six goals.
2. Jonathan Quick - There is no indication that Jonathan Quick won't make a 12th consecutive start, so I think it's safe to assume that he will. He's been dominant at home all season long (the last two games aside) going 13-4-2 with a 2.05 GAA.
3. X-Factor - Anze Kopitar has four assists over his last two games, but the Jets probably remember him as a goalscorer as he's tallied three over the last two meetings.
Selection: This is a play on the Los Angeles Kings (8*)
