Point Spread: -7.00 | -112.00 Seattle (Home)
Result: Loss
The Packers come limping into Seattle off a couple of close calls in wins over Dallas and Detroit. The Seahawks on the other hand are coming off another dominant performance, blowing out Carolina by a score of 31-17. Green Bay wasn't able to get anything going offensively when they opened the season with a 36-16 loss at Seattle, and I don't see any reason why this game should be any different.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The Packers are almost unbeatable at Lambeau Field, but they were just 4-4 on the road during the regular season. Not one of those four wins came against a team with a winning record. That doesn't bode well against a Seahawks team that has won 17 of it's last 19 home games (reg season and playoffs).
2. Injuries - Aaron Rodgers is a long way off 100%, and he really struggled in the first half last week against Dallas. He threw for just 189 yards on 23-of-33 passing with a TD an an INT in the season opener in Seattle. He's going to hard pressed to improve on those numbers with limited mobility due to a torn calf muscle.
3. X-Factor - Russell Wilson owns an NFL best career playoff passer rating of 109.6.
Selection: This is a play on the Seattle Seahawks (10*)
