Point Spread: 4.00 | -116.00 California (Home)
Result: Win
California and UCLA will meet in Berkley for a PAC 12 Saturday night battle. Both teams come in hot off three straight wins. UCLA beat Stanford, Colorado and Utah during the winning streak while Cal took out Washington, Washington State and most recently, USC. These two teams met earlier this season in LA with the Bruins dominating on home court 73-54. Look for the home to repay the favor this time around. Getting the points with the home team is a solid investment here. UCLA is just 2-5 SU ATS on the road this season.
Here are my keys to the game:
The Golden Bears' trio of guards - junior Tyrone Wallace and sophomores Jordan Mathews and Jabari Bird - have accounted for 56.4 percent (37.7 out of 66.7) of Cal's scoring average this season. In Cal's last three wins, the trio has accounted for 62 percent (141 of 226) of the Bears' scoring.
Homecourt- California has nine of its' 14 wins on home court this season and will go in with a lot of confidence off three straight wins. The student fans will be excited and loud on a Saturday night as well.
X-Factor- Cal forward Tyrone Wallace. The junior has increased his scoring average by more than six points (11.3 - 17.7 ppg.) from last year and ranks third in the Pac-12. He ranks sixth in the league in rebounding (7.8 rpg.) and seventh in assists (3.7).
Selection: This is a play on California (10*)
