Result: Win
Point Spread: 5.00 | -105.00 Washington (Away)
Result: Win
The Wizards snapped a five game losing streak with a home win over Brooklyn this weekend, and followed that up with a 96-80 win over Orlando on Monday. They look to make it three straight tonight, but it won't be easy on the road against the red hot Raptors who have won eight of 10 overall. Five of those wins came by a margin of five points or less though, and I like the visitors getting points tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - Two of the last three games between these two teams required overtime to decide a winner. We should expect another close game between two teams that are separated by just 2.5 games in the Eastern Conference standings.
2. Home Cookin' - The Raptors have a respectable 20-9 record at the Air Canada Center, but they haven't been a good bet at home recently. Toronto has failed to cover the spread in seven of it's last 10 at home.
3. X-Factor - This is a revenge spot for the Wizards, as evidenced by John Wall's comments: "(Beating Toronto) would be great for us," Wall said Monday. "We could have beaten them here last time, first time they blew us out. This is the last time we play this team until we maybe play them in the playoffs, so you have to go out there and let this team know they don't have full advantage and they can dominate you any time they want."
Selection: This is a play on the Washington Wizards (10*)
