The Coach's Friday NBA Trifecta
(NBA) Cleveland vs. Washington,
Point Spread: 3.00 | -102.00 Washington (Home)
Result: Loss
Point Spread: 3.00 | -102.00 Washington (Home)
Result: Loss
The Cavs were one of the NBA's hottest teams prior to the All Star break, and they are a favorite on the road tonight at Washington. Despite Cleveland's recent success, they still have a losing record on the road overall, and they've lost their last two away from home. The Wizards look great tonight getting point at home.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The Wizards boast a home record of 20-8, and the Cavs have only covered the spread once in their last six road games versus a team with a winning home record.
2. John Wall - The Wizards starting PG scored 28 points with six rebounds, seven assists and four steals in a 91-78 home win over Cleveland earlier this season. He was bothered a bit by an ankle injury prior to the All Star break, but should be at 100% tonight.
3. X-Factor - The Cleveland defense had no answer for Derek Rose in a 113-98 loss at Chicago just before the break, and they will have to play far better against John Wall tonight if they want to avoid a third straight loss on the road.
Selection: This is a play on the Washington Wizards (8*)
