Rogers' 10* Game of the Week (NCAAB)
(NCAAB) Saint Joseph's vs. Massachusetts,
Point Spread: -7.00 | -107.00 Massachusetts (Home)
Result: Loss
Point Spread: -7.00 | -107.00 Massachusetts (Home)
Result: Loss
The Massachusetts Minutemen had won six straight before losing back-to-back games on the road to the top two teams in the A-10 Conference. Coming back home to face St. Joes should give them an excellent opportunity to get back on track. The Red Hawks have lost three straight, two of those losses coming on the road.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - The Minutemen have won four straight home games, and they are 9-3 overall in Amherst. The Red Hawks have just two win in 13 games on the road. The home team has covered in eight of the last nine meetings in this series, and UMASS is 10-4 ATS in it's last 14 home games.
2. Free Throw Shooting - The Red Hawks shot just 8-of-17 from the charity stripe in the loss to St. Bonaventure on Saturday, and they are hitting just over 60% for the season. The Minutemen should have a huge advantage, averaging better than 70% at the free throw line for the season.
3. X-Factor - St. Joe's has lost eight in a row away from home, and it's covered the spread in just one of their last six road games.
Selection: This is a play on the UMASS Minutemen(10*)
