The Arizona Coyotes are coming into this contest on the back of 10 consecutive regulation losses. They opened a six game homestand with a 4-1 loss to the Ducks Tuesday, and I think they're in for another defeat tonight hosting yet another Pacific Division rival in the Vancouver Canucks. The visitors are looking to make a stand in the tight play off race in the West, and nothing but two points against a team of Arizona's caliber would be acceptable.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Arizona's Woes On Offense - A big reason why the Coyotes franchise record-tying 10 game skid is their inability to find the net. Arizona has mustered only 14 goals over that span, and they rank 29th overall averaging just 2.1 goals per game.
2. Home Woes - The Coyotes have lost four of the last five meetings in Arizona and are posting a pathetic 9-17-4 home record for the season. They have lost all of their last five when hosting a team with a winning road record, which the Nucks certainly have as they're an impressive 19-12-2 away from home this season.
3. X-Factor - Henrik Sedin is leading the Nucks with his 59 points and is currently on an eight game point streak over which he has tallied six goals and seven assists.
Selection: This is a play on the Vancouver Canucks (6*)
