The Coach's Friday NBA Trifecta
(NBA) Miami vs. Washington,
Point Spread: -4.50 | -107.00 Washington (Home)
Result: Loss
Point Spread: -4.50 | -107.00 Washington (Home)
Result: Loss
The Washington Wizards have just one win in their last eight overall, but a home game against the Heat might be a great spot for them to break out of this slump. The Wizards are coming off a loss to the Bulls in Chicago on Tuesday, but they defeated the Pistons in their last game in Washington.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Home Cookin' - Even though Washington has been mired in a slump, it still owns a very solid 21-10 home record. While it has lost seven of it's last eight, five of those defeats came on the road. The Wizards have won and covered in three straight home meetings with Miami.
2. Injuries - While the Heat are still trying to adjust to life without Chris Bosh, the Wizards have welcomed back Bradley Beal. He's scored 21 points in two games since returning from injury, and he's likely going to get better with more playing time.
3. X-Factor - The home team has covered in six straight in this series, and the Heat have failed to cover in four of their last five on the road.
Selection: This is a play on the Washington Wizards (8*)
