The Toronto Raptors are hot again, coming into Detroit tonight as winners of three of their last four. They are currently holding down the third spot in the Eastern Conference, tied with Chicago on points. The Pistons have dropped out of playoff contention, sitting five games back of the eighth place Celtics. The Pistons have won three of their last four, but had dropped 10 in a row prior to that. I like the visitors tonight as they have a lot more to gain.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - Toronto has owned this series, covering the spread in five straight visits to Detroit, and in eight of it's last 11 versus the Pistons overall. The Pistons have only covered the spread in five of their last 21 versus Atlantic Division opponents.
2. Reggie Jackson - The acquisition of Jackson for Oklahoma City has done nothing to make Detroit a better team. The knock on Reggie has always been that he's never seen a shot that he doesn't like, but he can't hit the broad side of a barn. He was 5-of-13 from the field and 0-for-3 from three-point range in the win over the Celtics Sunday.
3. X-Factor - The Pistons are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest.
Selection: This is a play on the Toronto Raptors(10*)
