"The Coach's" *10* MLB SURE SHOT
(MLB) LA Dodgers vs. Arizona,
Money Line: -156.00 LA Dodgers (Away)
Result: Win
Money Line: -156.00 LA Dodgers (Away)
Result: Win
The Arizona Diamondback have opened the season winning three of five and are coming into this contest looking to complete a three game sweep against the Los Angeles Dodgers. That won't be easy as we have a clear pitching mismatch in favor of the visitors here, and I have no problem paying the juice backing the Dodgers to win this game.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - The D-Backs will hand the ball to Josh Collmenter who was torched for five runs, four earned, on 10 hits over just 4 2/3 innings in his season debut. The right-hander may have been a respectable 11-9 with a 3.46 ERA last season but struggled big time against the Dodgers, surrendering 14 runs on 20 hits over 18 1/3 innings of work, going 1-2 over four outings. The Dodgers will coutner with Zack Greinke who hurled six innings allowing just one run on two hits in his season opener against the Padres. He was 3-0 with a minuscule ERA of 1.42 over four starts against the D-backs last season, and Arizona's batters is batting .208 against the veteran lifetime.
2. Head to Head - The Dodgers have won 16 of the last 22 meetings overall and six of Greinke's last seven starts against Arizona.
3. X-Factor - The Dodgers Adrian Gonzalez has started the season on fire going a ridiculous 12-for-18 with five homers over the first five games on the season. He's had plenty of success against Collmenter as well, registering six hits with a homer over 10 at bats against the 29 year old lifetime.
Selection: This is a play on the Los Angeles Dodgers (10*)
