The Coach's MLB Heavy Hitter - (Bigtime Blowout Potential)
(MLB) Chi White Sox vs. Texas,
Money Line: -130.00 Chi White Sox (Away)
Result: Win
Money Line: -130.00 Chi White Sox (Away)
Result: Win
The Chicago White Sox have alternated wins and losses over their last six games, and they are coming off a loss to the Rangers in the series opener in Texas last night. They might be able to keep that trend going here in Game 2, as they turn to their ace in tonight's game.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Chris Sale will be on the hill for the White Sox, and he was flawless in his last outing. Sale (4-2, 3.66 ERA) tossed seven shutout innings, striking out a dozen in a win over Baltimore. He's 2-0 with a 4.73 ERA in his last two starts at Texas. The Rangers counter with Nick Martinez, who has been better on the road than he has been at home.
2. Batter vs. Pitcher - While it's a pretty small sample size, the Chicago lineup has hit .500 over 18 combined at bats versus Martinez. Tyler Flowers was 2-for-2 with a home run.
3. X-Factor - The Texas bullpen owns an ERA of 4.18, which ranks 26th overall in Major League Baseball.
Selection: This is a play on the Chicago White Sox (10*)
