Money Line: -129.00 Cleveland (Away)
Result: Loss
The Indians are still hot, coming into Kansas City tonight as winners of five of their last six. They won last night's game by a score of 2-1, and we could see another pitcher's duel in Kansas City in Game 2.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Corey Kluber will be on the hill for the Indians, and he's back to his old self after a slow start to the season. Kluber (3-5, 3.52 ERA) gave up three runs on seven hits, racking up 13 Ks in seven frames in a win at Seattle in his latest start. He's now struck out 50 in 32 innings over his last four starts. The Royals counter with Jason Vargas, who has failed to impress so far this season.
2. Jason Kipnis - The Cleveland slugger is hitting .415 over his last 30 games, and he's batting .333 with four RBIs lifetime versus Vargas.
3. X-Factor - Kansas City owns the best bullpen in the majors, but it hasn't performed well over the last seven days, posting a 3.60 ERA in 25 innings.
Selection: This is a play on the Cleveland Indians (10*)
