The Coach's MLB American League ANNIHILATOR
(MLB) Texas vs. Kansas City,
Money Line: -160.00 Kansas City (Home)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -160.00 Kansas City (Home)
Result: Loss
The Royals have really gone cold, losing eight of their last 10, and falling out of first place in the AL Central. They were shutout at home by Texas last night, but I'm expecting them to respond here today with a win in Game 2.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - The Royals will hand the ball to Yodano Ventura, who tossed a gem in his last start. Ventura (3-4, 4.26 ERA) went seven innings, giving up just one run on four hits, but the Royals lost in Chicago by a score of 2-1. He lost at Texas earlier this season, but was 2-0 with a 2.19 ERA in two starts versus Texas prior to that. The Rangers hand the ball to Wandy Rodriguez, who didn't miss many bats in his last start. He gave up three runs on nine hits over 5.2 innings in a no decision at home versus Boston.
2. The Royals Bullpen - Kansas City still owns the best bullpen in the major leagues, with an ERA of 1.78.
3. X-Factor - Rodriguez is 0-2 with a 4.15 ERA in two career starts against the Royals.
Selection: This is a play on the Kansas City Royals (8*)
