The Seattle Mariners got off the schneid last night with a 2-1 win over the Rays. That ended a seven game losing skid, and I like Seattle here in the series finale at Safeco this afternoon.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - Mike Montgomery will be on the mound for the Mariners, and the rookie was impressive in his debut. The 25 year old southpaw gave up a pair of runs on four hits in six innings against the Yankees. The Rays counter with ace Chris Archer, who is coming off a real gem in a win over the Angels. Prior to that though he failed to earn a decision in a home loss to Seattle.

2. Logan Morrison - The Mariners first baseman is the hottest hitter in their lineup riding a 13 game hit streak. He was 3-for-4 last night, and he's 9-for-18 versus Tampa Bay this season.

3. X-Factor - All three games in this series have been decided by one run, and the Rays have played a total of 28 one-run games this season.
