The Red Sox losing streak continued last night, falling 4-1 to the Atlanta Braves. It was their seventh straight loss, but still they are a big favorite here in Game 2 at home to the Braves. Once again, I like the visitors as an underdog on the runline.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - The Red Sox will send Wade Miley to the mound, less than a week after he and manager John Farrel had a heated exchange in the dugout. Miley (5-6, 5.07 ERA) gave up five runs on nine hits, including three home runs in just four innings in a 6-5 loss to Baltimore in his last start. The Braves counter with Julio Teheran, who is 4-2 with a 4.78 ERA so far this season.
2. Braves Bats - Freddie Freeman came into this series hitting .365 with five homers and 14 RBIs in his last 13 games, while Cameron Maybin was batting .420 with 10 RBIs in 11 games prior to last night.
3. X-Factor - Mike Napoli is batting .196 for the season, and he's 1 for his last 24.
Selection: This is a play on the Atlanta Braves +1.5 (8*)
