The Coach's MLB Heavy Hitter - (Bigtime Blowout Potential)
(MLB) NY Yankees vs. Miami,
Money Line: -101.00 Miami (Home)
Result: Win
Money Line: -101.00 Miami (Home)
Result: Win
The Marlins defeated the Yankees in Miami last night, and they've won four of their last five at Marlin's Park. I like the Fish here tonight, with a former Yankee starting opposite Nate Eovaldi, who spent last season pitching for the Marlins.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Nate Eovaldi had 17 starts in Miami last year, and he didn't fare well going 3-6 with a 4.66 ERA. The right-hander has had success pitching in New York, but hasn't been great on the road. The Marlins will counter with David Phelps, who tossed six scoreless frames in a home win over Colorado in his last start.
2. Giancarlo Stanton - The Marlins slugger leads the major leagues with 23 home runs and 59 RBIs. He's riding an eight game hitting streak, going 14-for-28 with five home runs and 12 RBIs in those games.
3. X-Factor - Nate Eovaldi is 0-4 with a 4.50 ERA in 12 starts in inter-league play.
Selection: This is a play on the Miami Marlins (10*)
