The Coach's MLB Heavy Hitter - (Bigtime Blowout Potential)
(MLB) Boston vs. Kansas City,
Money Line: -143.00 Kansas City (Home)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -143.00 Kansas City (Home)
Result: Loss
The Royals are red hot, coming into tonight's home game against Boston as winners of four in a row, and eight of 10. The Red Sox have lost eight of their last 10, and they are just 13-21 on the road this season. I think the price is right to back the Royals at home.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Eduardo Rodriguez will get the nod for Boston, and he's been hit hard lately. Rodriguez (2-1, 3.55 ERA) was crushed for nine runs on eight hits over just 4.2 innings in a loss to Toronto in his last start. The Royals will counter with 31 year old Yohan Pino, who makes his first start of the season. He's allowed just one run over 14 innings of relief.
2. Royals Bullpen - The Royals have had plenty of success versus left-handed pitching, and Lorenzo Cain is hitting .347 versus southpaws.
3. X-Factor - Kansas City owns the best bullpen in the American League with an ERA of 1.97.
Selection: This is a play on the Kansas City Royals (8*)
