The Seattle Mariners and the LA Angles have split the first two games here in Anaheim, but Seattle is a slight favorite in the rubber match with it's ace on the mound. I like the visitors here in this one, as it's rare to see Seattle as such a small favorite when Felix Hernandez is pitching.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - Hernandez (10-4, 3.24 ERA) allowed four runs on nine hits over 6 2/3 innings in a loss to the Royals in his last start. He rarely loses in day games though, posting a record of 3-0 with a 1.93 ERA in 2015, and 13-6 with a 2.25 ERA in days games over the previous three seasons. The Angels counter with Hector Santiago, who's ERA of 2.68 is rather impressive. The only knock on Santiago is that he doesn't log a lot of innings.
2. Previous History - Hernandez is 4-0 with a 0.68 ERA in his last eight starts versus the Angels, and the Mariners have won all eight games during that span.
3. X.Factor - The Angels rank dead last in the majors scoring just 61 runs in day games, and they own a pathetic .213 team batting average in the daylight.
Selection: This is a play on the Seattle Mariners (10*)
