The Texas Rangers are coming into this series-finale at Camden Yards eyeing the sweep of the three-game set. They've outscored the Baltimore Orioles 16-7 over the first two games, and we're getting the visitors on the run-line at a terrific price in this contest.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - The Rangers will hand the ball to Nick Martinez (5-4, 3.39 ERA) who will be looking to bounce back from his worst start of the season when he conceded nine runs (eight earned) on nine hits in six innings of a 12-2 loss at Toronto. He's been quite solid this season though with 11 quality starts in 15 outings and the last time he gave up seven-plus hits he came back with six scoreless innings of one-hit ball his very next start. The Orioles will counter with Wei-Yin Chen (3-4, 2.90 ERA) who's been extremely good of late, going 2-0 with a 2.13 ERA in his last four starts. He did however serve up two homers in six innings his last start, and Texas' Mitch Moreland has gone deep twice in both of the first two games of this set.
2. Road Warriors - The Rangers are 25-19 SU away from home on the year and a powerful 34-10 against the run-line.
3. X-Factor - Texas offense has been strengthened with the return of Josh Hamilton who was 2-for-4 with a run scored in his comeback last night.
Selection: This is a play on the Texas Rangers +1.5 (10*)
