The Coach's MLB Total PUNISHER
(MLB) Toronto vs. Detroit,
Total: 8.00 | 111.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 8.00 | 111.00 Under
Result: Win
The Detroit Tigers lost in another slugfest at home to Pittsburgh yesterday, and they've now seen the total go over in 11 straight. Hosting the highest scoring team in the major leagues might be a recipe for another high scoring game, and the total here looks a little low considering.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - The Tigers will send Anibal Sanchez to the mound, and he's coming off a pretty average performance. Sanchez (6-7, 4.63 ERA) gave up four runs, three by way of the longball in a no decision at home versus Chicago in his last outing. The Jays counter with Drew Hutchison, who has been very lucky that the Toronto bats have given him plenty of support. He's 2-0 on the road in eight starts on the road, but his ERA of 8.92 is inexplicable.
2. Previous History - The Jays have seen the total go over in 16 of Hutchison's last 21 starts on the road, while the Tigers have seen the total go over in six straight at home.
3. X-Factor - The Tigers bullpen served up six runs to the Pirates yesterday, and poor performances from relief pitchers are partly responsible for Detroit's over trend.
Selection: This is a play on the Jays@Tigers to go OVER the total (8*)
