The Los Angeles Angels are coming into Sunday's series-finale against the Texas Rangers looking to complete the sweep after two blow-out wins. The first two games in the series have produced a total of 23 runs, and we should be in for another high-scoring contest at Arlington tonight.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Pitching - The Angels will hand the ball to C.J. Wilson (6-6, 3.78 ERA) who is coming off a solid outing when he held the Yankees to one run on five hits overs six innings. Wilson has been very inconsistent this season though and he's 1-2 with a 6.59 ERA in nine career starts against the Rangers who will counter with Colby Lewis (8-3, 4.13 ERA). The 35 year old right-hander is 3-0 with a 3.57 ERA home at Arlington this year and he has a 7.90 run-support average over his last four games overall.
2. Situational - Nine of Wilson's last 10 road-starts coming in as a favorite of -110 to -150 have gone over the total and the same is true for nine of Lewis' last 12 starts overall.
3. X-Factor - Prince Fielder is 5-for-11 over his last three games and 7-for-15 with a homer off Wilson lifetime.
