The San Francisco 49ers have been pretty bad this season, and they are big underdog on the road in New York on Sunday night. I think this game might be a little tougher than expected for the Giants, who could suffer a let down coming off an upset win over the Bills in Buffalo last Sunday. My money is on the visitors getting points here in New York.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. San Francisco Defense - The defense did it's job last week, holding the Packers to just 17 points. They put plenty of pressure on Aaron Rodgers, sacking him three times for a loss of 24 yards. If they play the same way against Eli Manning, they should have a chance to be in this game.
2. Giants Defense - While they've looked a lot better the last two weeks, the Giants allowed an NFL worst 702 passing yards in the first two weeks of the season. It's hard to trust the Giants as a heavy favorite with this inconsistent defense.
3. X-Factor - The Giants blew double-digit leads in back-to-back losses to start the season. Then they allowed the Redskins to score 15 points in the 4th quarter in a 32-21 win in Week 3. This Giants defense just can't be trusted to close out a win.
Selection: This is a play on the San Francisco 49ers (10*)
