Montreal Canadiens -132 (8*)
(NHL) Montreal vs. Vancouver,
Money Line: -132.00 Montreal (Away)
Result: Loss
Money Line: -132.00 Montreal (Away)
Result: Loss
The Montreal Canadiens are coming into this game with a NHL-best 9-0-0 record. The Vancouver Canucks almost matched them for the first four by winning three and suffering one overtime loss, but they've lost each of their last four games, two in regulation. I think the Canadiens will come out of this game with their perfect record intact.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. The Canadiens Defense - Montreal's 1.33 goals allowed per game is by far the best mark in the NHL this season. Carey Price has been immense between the pipes with a .961 save percentage in seven starts and he has posted a 1.60 GAA in his last eight meetings with the Nucks.
2. Situational - The Habs are 7-0-2 in the past nine match-ups with Vancouver and have won five games away from home this season already. The Canucks have lost each of their five home-games on the season.
3. X-Factor - Montreal's defense gets a lot of credit but lets not forget that its the second highest scoring team in the league at 3.9 goals per game.
Selection: This is a play on the Montreal Canadiens (8*)
