The Chicago Bulls are coming off a win in their home opener versus Cleveland, and they play their second game in as many nights on the road at Brooklyn tonight. The Nets lost two of four during the pre-season, but all of those four losses came in games decided by six points or less. With the home team getting a handful of points here in a game that is likely to go right down to the wire, I'll take the dog.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Brook Lopez - The 27 year old Center appears to be primed to have a career year for the Nets, who will need him to do a lot of the heavy lifting on both sides of the ball. He scored 24 points with nine rebounds in a home win over Philly in the last pre-season game in Brooklyn, and he averaged just under 19 PPG at home last year in comparison with just over 15 PPG on the road.
2. Previous History - The Nets are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 home games, and 15-5 ATS in their last 20 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
3. X-Factor - The Bulls are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 0 days rest.
Selection: This is a play on the Brooklyn Nets (10*)
