*8* play on the Chicago Bears.
The Chicago Bears are 2-4 on the season, but I think they are maybe a little better than they get credit for. They lost a close game on the road to Detroit last week, but prior to that their losses came to powerhouse teams like Green Bay, Seattle and Arizona. They host the Minnesota Vikings this week, and Minnesota hasn't looked very good on the road. I'll take the home team at a great price.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Quarterbacks - Jay Cutler isn't getting much attention these days, but he's quietly putting up decent numbers for the Bears. He hasn't thrown multiple interceptions in any of his five appearances this season, and he's moving the ball down the field, averaging just shy of 300 yards passing over his last three starts. Teddy Bridgewater is struggling though, with just five TD passes and four picks in six games.
2. Home Cookin' - The Vikings are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 meetings in Chicago, and prior to last week's win at Detroit they had lost eight of their last nine on the road.
3. X-Factor - The Bears boast the league's 5th best defense against the pass, allowing opponents to average just 220 yards per game.
Selection: This is a play on the Chicago Bears (8*)
