*10* ANNIHILATOR Chicago Bears.
The Chicago Bears will be on the road in San Diego on Monday night, in a battle of two struggling teams. The Chargers were not expected to have a record of 2-6 at this point, but a rash of injuries have derailed their season. They come into tonight's game as favorite, and I am not sure they should be asked to cover points against any team at the moment.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - The Bears have been quite competitive despite their record, and they are 2-2 in their last four overall. Both of their losses during that span were in games decided by just three points.
2. Keenan Allen - The Chargers will be without their top wide receiver who is sidelined by a lacerated spleen. Allen had 67 catches in the first eight games, and that's the third most in NFL history. He will be missed here in this game, but in addition to his loss the Chargers will also have to try to overcome injuries on the offensive line, and a thin backfield after Branden Oliver suffered a season ending injury.
3. X-Factor - Cutler is quietly having a pretty solid season despite Chicago's poor record. He has twice as many TD passes as he does interceptions, and only four picks through six starts is something for the veteran to hang his hat on.
Selection: This is a play on the Chicago Bears (10*)
