*8* SURE SHOT Philadelphia Eagles.
The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off a particularly ugly loss at home to the Buccaneers, and they will look to bounce back here in Detroit on Thanksgiving Day. The Lions have won two in a row, but let's not forget how bad this Detroit team has been this season. The Eagles remain in the hunt in a weak NFC East, trailing the Giants by just one game. My money is on a Philly team that should be highly motivated.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Previous History - The Lions have only covered the spread once in their last six home games, and they are just 1-10 ATS in their last 11 games in Week 12. The Eagles have covered the spread in five of their last seven road games versus teams with a losing record.
2. Detroit Defense - The Lions have really struggled versus the run so far, ranking 24th in the league allowing opponents to average 117 rushing yards per game. Look for Philly to establish the run, taking the pressure off their quarterback.
3. X-Factor - The Eagles have won six of the last seven meetings between the two teams dating back to 1995.
Selection: This is a play on the Philadelphia Eagles (8*)
