*6* SURE SHOT on New York Islanders.
The Philadelphia Flyers ended a three-game skid with a 3-2 OT home-win against Carolina Monday. They've won only two of their last seven games though (both against the Canes), and I think they'll be back to their losing ways when travelling to New York to take on the Islanders and Barclays Center Wednesday night.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. The Islanders Offensive Advantage - The Islanders have a respectable 2.81 goals per game average overall this season but they're even more productive at home where that number rises to 3.08 goals per game. The Flyers have scored only four goals in regulation over their last four games, with half of them coming on the power play, and their 1.76 goals per game average for the season is the second worst mark in the NHL.
2. John Tavares - The Islanders captain has five goals and three assists in his last six games overall and he has nine goals and five assists in his last 13 match-ups with Philadelphia.
3. X-Factor - The home team is 6-1 in the last seven meetings and the Islanders are 9-2 in their last 11 when hosting a team with a road winning % of less than .400. The Flyers are 3-5-2 away from home this season.
Selection: This is a play on the New York Islanders (6*)
